Overview
Pause is built with your privacy in mind. We collect as little data as possible and never sell or share your information with third parties. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:
- Email address — collected at the time of purchase to deliver your license key. We do not use your email for marketing without your consent.
- License key activations — we store a record of how many times your license key has been activated (up to 2 devices) to prevent unauthorized sharing.
- Browser storage — your preferences (selected sounds, atmosphere, duration) are saved locally in your browser via localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
What we don't collect
- We do not track your meditation sessions or habits
- We do not collect device identifiers or fingerprints
- We do not use advertising trackers or analytics pixels
- We do not sell or share your data with any third party
- We do not require an account to use Pause
Payments
All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store or process your payment card details. Please refer to Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for information on how they handle payment data.
Cookies
Pause does not use tracking cookies. We use browser localStorage solely to remember your in-app preferences locally on your device.
Your rights
You may request deletion of any personal data we hold (your email address and license activation record) at any time by contacting us at hello@pause.app. We will respond within 5 business days.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Pause after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
